Red Clover (flower)

Red Clover (flower) – (Trifolium pratense) is a species of clover, native to Europe. Red clover contains isoflavones (estrogen-like compounds) which can mimic the effect of endogenous estrogen. It has been traditionally used to relieve menopausal symptoms; it helps restore irregular menses and to balance the acid-alkaline level of the vagina to promote conception.


Red Raspberry leaf

Red Raspberry leaf - is a pale-green leaf produced by the raspberry plant. The leaf has been used widely in folk remedies. Red raspberry leaves are rich in vitamins, minerals, and tannins and have been found to strengthen the uterine muscles which could make contractions during delivery more efficient. According to Every Woman's Herbal magazine, raspberry leaf tea will enrich the mother's milk, especially during periods when the baby is going through a growth spurt. The Green Herbal Pharmacy Handbook states that red raspberry leaf eases the discomfort of menstruation, including heavy periods; reduces morning sickness related to pregnancy; and prevents miscarriage. Red raspberry leaf also improves labor delivery by normalizing contractions and lessening their occurrence, making childbirth easier and relieving the after pains.

 


Red Sage root

Red Sage root (Salvia miltiorrhiza) is a perennial plant, roots arehighly valued in traditional Chinese medicine. It contains salvianolic acid. It is widely used in traditional medicine irregular menstruation, dymenorrhae, and amenorrhea. Red Sage Root dilates blood vessels thereby increasing the flow of blood, oxygen, and nutrients to vital organs. It invigorates the blood; reduces cholesterol levels; keeps blood vessels soft and supple. It reduces symptoms of estrogen deficiency, such as hot flashes; reduces sweating and salivation.


Rose hip

Rose hip is the fruit of the rose plant. Rose hips are particularly high in vitamin C content, one of the richest plant sources available. Rose hips also contain plenty of lycopene, an important and strong antioxidant that prevents oxidation of low density lipoprotein (LDL) as well as of many cellular membranes. Rose hips also contain some vitamin A and B, essential fatty acids, and antioxidant flavonoids.  It has strong anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties.


Rosemary leaf

Rosemary leaf (Rosmarinus officinalis) - is a woody, perennial herb with fragrant, evergreen, needle-like leaves and white, pink, purple, or blue flowers, native to the Mediterranean region. Rosemary contains a number of potentially biologically active compounds, including antioxidant carnosic acid and rosmarinic acid. Traditionally, rosemary leaves has been used internally and externally to improve memory, relieve muscle pain and spasm,  stimulate hair growth, support the circulatory and nervous systems and treat indigestion.
